Accounting Manager- Logistics
SE Freight Systems Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. This is exciting opportunity to join a logistics company that has been in business for over 20 years with deep roots in the automotive industry.
The main responsibility of this role will be to managing and developing the accounting and payroll team to meet their timelines and ensure accuracy and control of our financials.
Your position is a hands on accounting role where you are handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, billing issues, yearend financials and T4’s.
Accounting Manager
Job Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for working with Simply Accounting software to manage accounts payable and receivables
Responsible for Bank reconciliations, GST, PST, WSIB payments
Previous experience with multi company billing and invoicing required - we deal with a high volume of billing and invoicing
Responsible for yearend reporting and working with the accounting team to create T4's and year end financials
Transfer of funds to our Canadian and US accounts
Responsible for managing processes and developing improvement processes to maintain control of our financials as we grow
Providing guidance and coaching to the accounting and payroll team to ensure accuracy and attention to detail is maintained
Point person for customer service issues and training for new accounts on a/p and a/r processes
Handling all escalated accounting and payroll inquiries
Coaching and developing team to ensure proper cross training is developed to cover absences and vacations
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of Accounting experience and 2 years of supervisory experience
Accounting Designation and Education is required
High attention to detail and accuracy required
Experience with Simply Accounting and strong knowledge of Word and Excel skill required
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Compensation is based on your experience and knowledge of the industry.
