CARPROOF is a growing, fast-paced environment that is constantly innovating existing products and creating new ones! We have many ideas and need help transforming these ideas into marketable products. The Scrum Master will facilitate all sprint meetings and turn our shortcomings into successes. The candidate will embrace change and encourage others to change for the better.

 

The Scrum Master will be dedicated to two separate Scrum teams. The successful candidate will be considered a subject-matter expert, have excellent logic and problem-solving skills and a drive to make a difference. We need an individual that puts the team before themselves. They will be responsible for enforcing the rules of Scrum, removing impediments from their team while promoting self-management and surpassing the high standards that have already been set.

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical departments
  • Organize and facilitate backlog grooming, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings
  • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress
  • Maintain process documentation
  • Ensure the development teams are practicing the core Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and visibility
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating information
  • Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices
  • Identify and remove impediments
  • Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
  • Empower the team to self-organize

 

 

Education, Skills and Experience Required

  • Degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Computer Systems Design, or another technical field
  • 2 to 4 years of successful Scrum Master work experience 
  • Must be a Certified Scrum Master
  • Intricate knowledge of Agile software development methodologies, values and procedures
  • Thorough understanding of the Agile software development lifecycle
  • Overall understanding of organization’s development platform and languages, including: C#, .NET framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Knockout.JS, experience in Microsoft Azure a bonus
  • Understanding or ability to utilize tools such as Visual Studio, TFS/VSTS, Confluence, Slack, and Swagger
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks as delegated
  • Team-player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types
  • Creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
