Job Description
Our Client is a municipal and civil engineering company, located in Newmarket that historically and currently services and manages various projects in Southern Ontario since 1989.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Site plans (residential, commercial) and lot grading, computerized drafting
Construction Inspection and Administration
Topographical Surveying (Laser Level)
Lot Grading (elevations, drainage)
Septic Systems (conventional and treatment units) including the Inspection, Design and the Maintenance of Residential Septic Systems
Municipal Services and municipal approvals for Severences, and Minor-Varience Applications
Permit Application: Municipality and Conservation Authority
Stormwater Management, Erosion Protection and Flood Controls
Waterfront Improvement and Docks

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- B. SC in CIVIL ENGINEERING and HOLDS P.ENG STATUS with Ontario Professional Engineers (PEO)
- MUST HAVE 7 to 10 yrs of ON-SITE SEWAGE SYSTEM ONTARIO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED PLUS KNOWLEDGE OF MOE SEWAGE APPROVALS SEWAGE ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE APPROVALS (ECA'S).(on-site sewage works) in the areas of Industrial & Commercial projects and Small Structures
- Relevant industry/consulting experience at a Senior Project Management level - PMP Designation an asset
- Direct reporting responsibilites to the Principal Engineer/company President
- Must be able to acquire new external clients through business development activities within the field of sewage / wastewater/water industry in Ontario as part of a Senior Project Management Role
- ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE ONTARIO ONSITE WASTEWATER ASSOCIATION - to demonstrate experience with sewage system design work, would be an asset
- Experience in hydrogeology or groundwater services would be an asset
- CLEAR and ARTICULATE -WRITTEN, SPOKEN and PRESENTATION/COMMUNICATION SKILLS
- Extensive experience in conducting on-site inspections / investigations, writing technical reports, and contract administration.
- Consistent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage different priority level assignments simultaneously in order to deliver strong results within project timeline and completion deadlines.
- Must live in or close to Newmarket area, Region of York, Ontario
