What does a typical work day look like for a Bilingual Quality Assurance Specialist?

This role is a great opportunity to work within the financial services sector of the Canadian market.  Compliance is a key priority for PRA Group, and this role is an important component of that function.  Reporting to the Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for auditing the quality of work of all internal Collection Officers/Skip Tracers, as well as those employed by our external business partners.  A typical work day would include the following:
 
Conducting and delivering quality and compliance audits
  • Listening to both English and French recorded calls, and assessing them related to customer care, and compliance with applicable regulatory bodies
  • Recording /tracking the audit results by Collection Officer/Skip Tracer
  • Highlighting calls that are excellent, and offering feedback on calls that can be improved upon
  • Escalating any serious concerns to the Operations Supervisors and the Director of Internal Customer Care
Creating and maintaining a strategy and tracking system to ensure all Collection Officers/Skip Tracers who interact with our customers are being monitored fairly and objectively
 
Reporting and Recommendations
  • Preparing  summary reports for distribution to the Compliance Specialist, Director of Operations, Director of Internal Customer Care, and the Risk Committee
  • Opportunity to create revised work standards, strategies and training to improve the quality and compliance components of our calls
The ability to learn and stay current with the guidelines of the various regulatory bodies that impact our business in all provinces and territories across Canada, including
  • Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act
  • Provincial/Territorial collection legislation
What qualifications are required to be considered for this position?
  • Minimum High School diploma
  • Post-Secondary Education in a related subject preferred
  • Experience within the Accounts Receivable Management Industry preferred
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Ministerial Directives & Regulations for each province is an asset
  • A multi-tasking and results oriented individual
  • Bilingual French and English is mandatory
  • Strong ability for objectivity, respect of confidentiality, and the ability to remain diplomatic in challenging situations
  • Pass criminal background and credit checks
