We are currently seeking candidates for the position of:

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) / Certified Respiratory Educator (CRE)
Horizon ProResp (Stratford, ON)

We are looking for individuals who are interested in joining our growing company and looking for a challenge.  As a Health Care Professional, you will be responsible for providing clinical respiratory services to community patients in the Stratford and surrounding area, working with Family Health Teams as well as maintaining and building strong relationships with new and existing referral sources.  Your clinical experience and fi­rst-rate assessment skills enable you to offer excellent care.  This is an exceptional opportunity for Registered Respiratory Therapists who want to adapt clinical skills acquired in the hospital to community care.  As a ProResp team member, you will play an integral part in continuing the success of community respiratory care.

Required qualifications:
  • A valid certifi­cate with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
  • CRE certification or willingness to obtain is preferred
  • Ability to work within a Family Health Team environment delivering chronic disease management as well as homecare follow-up
  • A minimum of three years related experience (working in a hospital and/ or community respiratory setting) preferred
  • Proven consultative and educational skills to provide information, advice and guidance to health care professionals on products and services

Hours of work:  Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm.  Some flexibility in hours will be required to meet business needs.  On-call hours are in addition to your regular weekly hours.  It is a requirement of this role to participate in the shared rotational on-call schedule.

Essential Business Needs:  Candidates must have a valid certifi­cate with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario and ideally have CRE certification or willingness to obtain.  Candidates must have a valid Ontario driver’s license, in good standing (G full privilege license of at least 3 years required, at minimum).  The chosen candidate must provide an original vulnerable sector police records check. 
 
Education:  Graduate of a recognized 3 year Respiratory Therapy program; post grad certification(s) such as CRE considered beneficial.  Previous business experience or education considered an asset.
 
Language Requirements:  Ability to speak, read and write fluently in English; other languages an asset.
 
Physical demands:  Walking, sitting, standing, driving, stair climbing and lifting (able to lift, push and pull 40 lbs.)
