The Shop Coordinator is a motivated and organized individual responsible for assisting with the day to day operations of the fabrication shop to ensure the shop runs efficiently and effectively.  

This Shop Coordinator is a full-time hourly position and will be responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks:

Tasks & Responsibilities 

• Scheduling shop work based on direction provided by the Operations Manager
• Review, critique and communicate orders for a semi auto line, auto line and custom orders
• Layout work for shipping and receiving
• Coordinate and communicate daily duties for the shop cleaner
• Coordinate with purchasing the ordering of materials needed to finish each job
• Coordinate all shop staff to ensure priorities are met
• Ensure jobs are completed on schedule, as per instructions from the Operations Manager
• Coordinate all work in the schedule 
• Collaborate with listing department to assure proper sequence of orders 
• Communicate with clients to establish delivery dates, and any special requirements
• Coordinate and Manage loading of delivery trucks 
• Oversee and enforce quality control policies

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet strict deadlines
• Strong customer service skills 
• Strong knowledge of the interworking’s of a fabrication shop
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Must be able to work independently
