The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing effective administrative support to a business area.

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing effective administrative support to a business area.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides standard administrative support to one or more members within the company or business area.
- Enters, records, revises, updates and reformats documents, reports, letters and memos.
- Maintains schedules and arranges meetings including logistics, presentations, catering.
- Ensures critical outbound mail is delivered/couriered on time
- Obtains data and responds to general inquiries.
- Designs and maintains physical and electronic Research Library filing systems.
- Assists with associate travel bookings, training, and expense reporting.
- Provides assistance and acts as a resource as needed on various computer software programs or other tools for the department or company
- Assists in the maintenance and distribution of policies, procedures, work instructions and other to meet departmental and company standards.
- Updates Database and process documents as needed.
- Provides backup to other administrative support positions in the company as required including Front Office Operations, Reception
- Participates in Kaizens as required
- Participates in projects as required
- Maintain promotional material selections, orders, inventory, storage and chargebacks on behalf of Marketing
Background and Skill
- 1-2 years experience in an administrative support role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Has the ability to Multi task
- Above average computer skills – Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel). Microsoft Project a benefit.
- Ability to learn and apply new technology and tools
- Acts with a sense of urgency, can deliver results on time and with quality
- Can effectively build and manage relationships within the department and across the company
- Post secondary education in a related field preferred
