Pursuit Health Management is a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation clinic located in London, ON. We provide a wide range of therapeutic services to clients who are recovering from an injury, illness or surgery. Our clinic services include physiotherapy and massage therapy, in addition to community based services provided by our occupational therapists, nurse case managers and vocational rehabilitation consultants.

We are currently seeking a part time Rehabilitation Assistant. Duties will include:

• Assist the supervising physiotherapist/occupational therapist in performing various components of the treatment plans for individuals in our multidisciplinary clinic or community
• Perform various treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising therapist including gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, range of motion, strengthening, application of modalities. (i.e. heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS)
• Deliver dynamic, safe and therapeutically beneficial exercise programs to clients in community gyms or their home
• Maintain regular ongoing communication with the treating therapist regarding any changes or concerns about a client’s status or treatment interventions
• Acquire and provide recommended equipment, aids and devices and associated education to support client recovery from illness/injury
• Perform administrative duties as required

Qualifications/Skills:

• A university degree in Kinesiology, or graduate of a PTA/OTA community college program with a minimum of two years experience.
• Previous clinical experience is an asset
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Familiar with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.)
• Vehicle required
• Excellent time management, organization and accuracy

• Commensurate with experience and educational qualifications
