Wage Range:  $69,611 - $87,014 per year with a comprehensive benefits package included with this position
Hours: Monday-Friday.  37.5 hours per week (Evenings and weekends required)

Note:  This is a full-time Administrative position (37.5 hours per week).

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Fanshawe International, the Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of an international recruitment and marketing plan that addresses the needs and wants of international markets resulting in an increase in enrollment at Fanshawe College.  The Manager researches international markets, identifies new high-yield markets, and proactively establishes and operationalizes the strategies to capitalize on enrollment and corporate training opportunities.  The Manager leads a diverse team of internationally and locally based College recruiters, in country representatives and agents.   The position requires extensive international travel to promote Fanshawe College to a wide variety of influencers in the international marketplace.  The Manager overseas the development and dissemination of promotional materials in various mediums to ensure effective and competitive services and programs for international students and corporate clients.  The Manager is responsible for advocating for renewal of programs, services and approaches as informed by market intelligence, trends, opportunity and awareness of political and economic climates and potential for return on investment.
 
Position Requirements:
Candidate must possess a minimum 3 year diploma or degree in Business Management with International designation preferred (International Marketing or International Trade). Minimum 7 years Management experience working in an international context in recruitment/ business development, including at least 1 year of overseas work experience in South Asia and/or Africa. An equivalent combination of education and/or work experience may be considered.
  • Intercultural Awareness Training
  • Proven ability to plan and achieve business goals
  • Knowledge of the education sector in target markets including providers, academic issues, market trends, regulatory environment and network of contacts
  • Experience with academic and business strategies of international education particularly in key markets
  • Experience in the planning, development and management of international education or training projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written)
  • Ability to communicate in at least one additional language of target market is an advantage
  • Familiar with the use of communication and information technologies for administrative and marketing purposes
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, along with the capacity to work effectively under pressure while traveling abroad for extended periods of time
  • Experience in managing staff in a unionized environment and ability to work in a diverse work environment
  • Excellent human relations skills, judgment, and cross-cultural awareness with above average knowledge of international needs for post-secondary education, customer service/relationship management skills, conflict resolution skills, contract negotiation skills, research skills, budget management and project management skills
  • Presentation skills both oral and written along with demonstrated listening skills as most communication is done through translators or interpreters
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Robinson and Robinson
