Community Woodshop Coordinator
Pathways is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to take on the role of the Community Woodshop Coordinator. The individual in this role will ensure the success of the woodshop by creating a welcoming environment of collaboration, expertise and learning.

Accountabilities
· Provide expert knowledge, teaching and coaching to individuals at all skill levels
· Monitor and maintain safe usage and upkeep of all tools and machinery
· Recruit and build membership
· Develop supportive culture of learning with a passion for woodworking
· Administer membership policies and practices to ensure an open and fair environment
· Facilitate workshops and classes to a wide variety of groups and clubs
· Provide orientation and information sessions to new and potential participants
· Recruit, train and manage a team of volunteers
· Create, sustain, and nurture community partnerships
· Assisting to secure funding, grants, donations and sponsorships
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
· 5-6 years’ experience and expertise in woodworking and carpentry, particularly furniture and cabinet making
· Passion and ability to transfer knowledge and skills to people of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels
· Experience developing community partnerships is an asset
· Experience recruiting and managing volunteers is an asset
· Expertise working from plans and drawings
· Strong math skills, ability to work with detailed measurements
· Mastery level expertise of a wide variety of saws, machinery and tools for woodworking
