Location:  London
Employment Group:  Support
Type of Position: Full-time temporary  
Salary:  $24.15 per hour
Hours:  35 hours per week  
Closing Date: Open Until Filled
                   
Note:  This is a full-time temporary position until June 30, 2018 (35 hours per week).
Duties:   The Pre-Placement Coordinator reports directly to the Operations Manager. In consultation with the relevant program faculty and support staff, the incumbent is responsible for reviewing the pre-placement requirements as set out in the program requirements with an attention to detail for consistency of requirements. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining the Human Services, Health Sciences, Nursing and Public Safety database which is a necessary for the student placement needs of the programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Post-secondary 2 year diploma in Medical Office Administrator or equivalent 2 year Health Care or Health Sciences Diploma
  • Minimum 3 years work experience within settings such as Medical Office, Health Sciences, Nursing or Administrative/Business, and at least two years recent experience providing co-ordination and administrative support
  • Experience working with a variety of community resources using marketing, public relations skills and techniques
  • Ability to use mediation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and is self-motivated and can work independently
  • Experience working within the health sciences, human service, nursing or public safety educational field
  • Experience in an educational setting, supporting/guiding
  • students is required
  • Solid clerical and computer skills such as MSWord and Excel
  • Knowledge of corporate systems such as FOL and LFACS is required
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of Health Sciences, Nursing, Human Services and Public Safety programs is required
