Note:  These are part-time Faculty positions (up to 6 hours per week).

The School of Applied Science and Technology at Fanshawe College is seeking qualified instructors to provide theoretical and practical instruction courses on engineering design.  A solid working knowledge of Siemens NX (Unigraphics) is required.  Advanced topics in computer aided design will be presented to students and applied to related projects. Assignments will require the production of professional engineering drawings and graphics.

• Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
• Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies
• Previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets 

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-secondary 3 year diploma/degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Design
• Minimum 5 years recent, relevant experience
• Working knowledge of Siemen's NX (Unigraphics) software required
• Ability to interpret and prepare engineering drawings to engineering standards
• Fluid knowledge of dimensioning, fits and tolerances as well as guarding, and assembly drawings
• Ability to modify parts in assembly drawings utilizing CAD software
• Ability to troubleshot complex 3D solid and surface models, assemblies and drawings
• Ability to create animations, and fits and clearances for moving components
• Understanding of Finite Element Analysis
• Ability to teach advanced parametric modeling, configuration management and how to troubleshoot model history
• Fluid knowledge of predictive modeling
