White Coad LLP is a well-established law firm serving the Oxford County and surrounding area, with offices located in Woodstock, Norwich, Delhi and Ayr. Our firm practises primarily in the areas of Corporate Commercial law, Municipal and Land Planning, Residential & Commercial Real Estate, and Wills & Estate Planning.
We are seeking an experienced Law Clerk to handle primarily real estate files on a full-time basis, to work in our Woodstock office.
The Primary Duties Include but are not limited to:
 

• Communicating with clients, lenders and real estate agents in a professional and timely manner;
• Obtaining and reviewing electronic documents and reviewing title searches;
• Conducting various electronic searches and reviewing results to report to lawyer;
• Preparing and organizing requisition letters and closing documents;
• Reviewing mortgage instructions and preparing appropriate documents;
• Conducting off-title searches;
• Preparing and registering electronic documents in Teraview and OnCorp;
• Maintaining a tickler system of requisition and closing dates and following up on outstanding undertakings;
• Preparing accounts and trust ledgers, and completing final reports to  clients and lenders;
• Maintaining and updating the file database.

Requirements
 

• Solid experience as a law clerk handling real estate files
• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
• Self motivated individual with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
