Human Resources Co-ordinator

(Temporary Full Time Contract for One Year)

 

Cheshire is a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the housing and attendant service needs of adults with significant physical disabilities in London and Middlesex, Oxford, Elgin, Perth and Huron counties.  For more than 30 years we have helped a diverse group of people maintain their independence, dignity, and ability to live in their own homes.

 

Working as part of the HR team, the HR Coordinator manages the day to day operation of the employment program for the agency. Driving all aspects of the recruitment and hiring processes and providing internal consulting to leaders on employment matters. This role offers a unique opportunity to participate in program development and projects.

 

Qualifications

·         Post secondary education at a University or College level in Human Resources or a related field.

·         3-5 years of progressive work experience in a unionized setting, specializing in employment program administration and development.   

·         Working knowledge of all employment related legislation and standard HR practices. 

·         Effective organizational, planning and time management skills with a demonstrated track record in managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

·         Ability to exercise good judgment with difficult situations, respond to enquiries and make decisions within the scope of authority.

·         Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and experience working collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

·         Highly computer literate, proficiency with Microsoft Office including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other related software. Internet and database research skills.   

 

Travel within London and to our programs in surrounding counties is required.
