Job Description
Our client located in Southwestern Ontario is in search of a Quality Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will maintain customer and company quality standards and policies. Support manufacturing to resolve concerns relative to product or quality systems. Act as liaison between customer and supplier contacts. Drive corrective and preventative actions and continuous improvements.
Education Requirements
-Completion of a Post-secondary program in an engineering related field
Experience Requirements
-Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience
-Minimum 3 years in stamping, welding or related field
-Minimum 5 years’ experience as a quality engineer or related experience
TS 16949 training
Principle Duties:
-Address, investigate and resolve customer Quality issues as applicable.
-Ensure TS-16949 is operating in their area of control as per the Quality manual.
-Address and co-ordinate activities to resolve quality issues
-Ensure completion of 8D's / corrective actions on time.
-Attend production and corrective action meetings to provide input from the quality aspect.
-Assist shift personnel to make quality & tooling related decisions
-Make recommendations to improve efficiencies, process & product flow, safety & quality
