Maintenance Millwright

Solis Foods Corporation Inc. is now accepting resumes for the fulltime permanent role of Maintenance Millwright to begin immediately in St. Marys.

The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of production equipment, plant facilities and mechanical assets with specific reference to fixes, replacement and installation of new machinery as well as preventative maintenance on existing assets. 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing the maintenance on required mechanical /plant assts
• Responsible for performing preventative maintenance of equipment/assets
• Completes all scheduled regular and preventative maintenance
• Monitors safety and good manufacturing practices along with HACCP plan
• Responsible for reporting and addressing food safety issues.
• Attends team meetings
• Provides input into production and process improvements
• Reports any maintenance problems to Manager
• Ensures all areas are cleaned up during & upon completion of shift
• Ensures adherence to quality and company standards including:
  • Health & safety programs
  • Legislative requirements
  • HACCP
  • CFIA and SQF requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

  Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary school
• Millwright certification and/or 3-5 years related experience in the maintenance field
• Experience servicing and maintaining equipment
• Excellent oral & written communication skills combined with strong organizational skills
• Flexible - Able to work well under pressure
• Familiarity with HACCP
• Able to work 12 hour shifts – continental
