Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and encourage a safe work environment and good housekeeping in keeping with OH&S Act.
- Ensure regular Preventive Maintenance checks on all electrical equipment with special emphasis on safety.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment with minimum interruption to production.
- Maintain appropriate performance and maintenance records of equipment in clear and sufficient detail.
- Inspect, repair, assemble, install, adjust and do preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
- Must have knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and installations, power transmission systems, chains, belts, drives, speed reducers and pulley ratios.
- Follow acts, regulations and codes related to facilities, equipment, environment protection, and H&S at all times.
- Undertake special projects/activities as required.
- Must be available for shift work and willing to work overtime.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 Diploma
- Licensed Electrician and Millwright
- Familiar with safety devices and legislated codes
- Able to read/understand electrical schematics
- 5 years in a Manufacturing environment
